Hi my name is Mike.  I was born back in the early 60’s in a village called Rockford.  The T-Rex had all but been wiped out by man.  It was an insult to pay more than 29 cents a gallon for full service gasoline and the out house was becoming a thing of the past.  I knew at that time…  I loved music and wanted to entertain people with it.  I realized learning the guitar was only for the highly skilled.  Being from the shallow end of the gene pool, I realized being a DJ was my dream.

Actually, when I was a youngster, my dad played poker with a Rockford DJ named Doug McDuff.  I thought, what a cool job he had.  My family moved to Wisconsin when I was in 5th grade.  By 8th grade I met a really nice girl and went to a dance with her.  The Band played Smoke on the Water 4 times in little under 2 hours and disappeared on a 30 minute break.

Let me first say, The girl thing was great... but the entertainment, well, not so much…

So, noticing the need, and inspired by Wayne Phillips (a top 40 DJ at Wisconsin Dells WNNO) who played at our High School Dances, I figured I could do that and fix two problems keeping me from real success.

The 2 problems were, for 1, the radio station sponsored mobile DJ’s, at the time, only played what their radio stations played.  And second, the “Night Club” DJ’s only exercised their craft in their respective clubs.

I wanted to bring all kinds of music to the DJ scene and play non-stop music anywhere I could get electricity.

I pieced together an audio system out of some EV tower speakers, a couple of old tube amps and a few 8 track players.  I had 1 turntable, but because I was a “mobile DJ” and a lot of places had shaky floors, the records skipped.  It did not get a lot of use.  I bought my first light controller from a company called LiteLab to emulate a night club lighting feel.

Our local newspaper did an article about me, and I was locked into my passion.  This mobile DJ thing quickly became a successful venture for me.  My Dad & Mom always said, to be happy you need to do something that even if you didn’t get paid to do it, you would still love doing it.  This is it for me.  I don’t want to hire a bunch of DJ’s to send out to make me money.  I want to DJ for you.
